Music is the soul of life! Blessed be that we have such awesome songs that capture moments, a feeling, a sentiment and a map that bares witness to the journey that is our lives! If you the type that can imagine and believe that your beliefs form the source of the frequency that you transmit into the world and that the world tunes into your frequency and basically responds with situations, events, experiences and things that match that frequency, then you can imagine that it stands to reason that you start looking at tuning into the frequency you transmitting!
Generally, beliefs are a well entrenched and practiced thought pattern. So your mind can quickly and effortlessly get to the answer using the established thought pattern that feeds a belief. So you are responding to your environment stimulus through well set up reliable well oiled thought patterns. Your BELIEFS!
Music is an amazing tool for those of you that are looking to plant a seed of change within this well established network of thought patterns that feeds your belief system. I would recommend the following approach:
Step 1 – What Are Your Themes : Establish a few themes that you would like to make consistent within your life. It could be something like working on enjoying healthy Intimacy, evolving or deepening skills within an area of your life, making better choices when it comes to looking after you etc
Step 2 – Know The Feeling Of Your Theme Being A Reality : Find the feeling place for those themes. When that is a reality in your life, what would it feel like? Get to know what that feels like!
Step 3 – Match Songs That Capture That Feeling : Create your playlist with songs that put you in that feeling place! I suggest that you keep it for the year and look at a complete overhaul on a yearly basis. But remember that you can add over time. The trick is to get the songs that really resonate strongly and give you that feeling of enjoying the reality of your life themes
Step 4 - Incorporate This Into Some Part Of Your Day : It could be that it plays in the car on the way to work, while you preparing dinner or part of your morning routine. I have found that making it a as part of my morning routine does wonders for my energy for the day. This is playing a few songs from the playlist. Set the Ipod to shuffle and off I go!
Step 5 – Take Moments To Be In That Space Fully! : Make time in the week for being in those songs fully. Imagine you are at a concert singing the pages of your life. Take 30 minutes and choose a few of the songs from your playlist and dance like no one’s watching, mime it or even sing it out aloud. Just be in the moment, the song, the feeling and overdose on it. It helps to be alone and in a place of not being disturbed. The bathroom is usually a good place. Usually you are not disturbed when people believe you busy with your business. If you know what I mean. Or take a Saturday or Sunday morning to have uncensored feeling of the greatness of your themes and songs!
Have fun with this. Thus do not make it all about going through the motions. Go on wanting to. That is why it is a good idea to have a couple of songs. And go with the songs that resonate in that week or day! It could just be one from the selection, or 3 or 5. You will get into a space when you will know which song fits the time.
Music is a powerful emotion generator. Why not use it to help you tune into the frequency of what your life sounds like to the Universe. Go for it Darlins, embrace your inner Diva/Rockstar and sing and dance the pages of your BLISSFUL life!
