CrazeeBee Love : Adding Some Magic To Life

So this has been a week of note.  Been on a high, been on a low but also have made the connection of how deep in Ego I have been.  Shoo!  But with life there also needs to be focus on the stuff that makes us happy and can lift us up.  So for this week, I want to inspire some LOVE for the gifts that keeps on giving:

  • Stillness - If you can find 10 to 15 minutes in your day just to be quiet and focus on your breathe, you will be amazed at what all comes to be
  • Kundalini Yoga - I discovered a Kundalini Yoga DVD I acquired a few years ago.  I honestly think it is awesome to try out and it is doing wonders for releasing energy and making it flow through me.  I do feel that it needs to be private exercise  as it allows you to focus on your inner truth during the process
  • Sweat It Out! - I have found that a good aggressive activity gets so much out and helps me deal with emotions I need to feel and get out the way.  I am loving the elliptical trainer!  You can really get into working those icky emotions out!
  • Reading - I have missed how reading grows the mind and imagination.  If you can spend just 30 minutes a day getting your mind engaged in a book or a chapter, it does expand your mind.  I am also finding that it you feel like you accomplish something as you have gone on a journey but you have gained something instead of the usual TV hour to escape
  • Cooking Channels - I am loving cooking channels lately.  BBC Lifestyle has my vote currently.  I am loving the ideas that you can get.  I am building a recipe book of basics based on what looks awesome from the chefs and then adding my touch.  All exciting!

2011 : Hunks In My LIfe

Men! Can't live without them as much as we try.  They have their appeal and they have that pull.  Male energy is extremely sexy, bold and dashing.  And when it is all wrapped up in a wonderful package, one cannot help but admire it.  There have been a few STUDS that caught the CrazeeBee eye this year and I would like to celebrate their sexiness.  Here is the list for 2011.  Enjoy!

5. The Pleasant Surprise - Lance Weyer - He is the newly crowned Mr Gay SA 2011.  I must say I was rather impressed as this is the first time I can see beauty with a purpose.  He has grey matter and balances that with a life full of adventure.  Gotta love that.  Loving Lance!

4. The Rising Star - Novak Djokovic - I loved watching Novak find his strength, passion and winning streak over 2011.  He is really awesome to watch.  He has loads of personality and something you really want to know more about.  His fun approach to life is the way to go and that is sexy!

3.  The Nurturer - Anonymus
- I have no idea who this is but this pic reminds me of someone really great.  And that is the guy that is simply sexy because of his awesomeness, genuine intentions and good heart.  All that packed into a sexy man is wonderful to see and experience.

2.  The Rugby Player - Michael Sullivan - This is such a man's man.  He is bold alpha male at it's best.  He is all things masculine, prince charming and oozes sexiness in his presence.  You really just want to be a damsel and have him rescue you as it is always soooooo sexy everytime he does it.  He definitely is the type fairytales are written about.

1.  Jason Borish - I am not sure what it is about this man, but he has had CB's attention!  He is simply gorgeous.  There is an intensity in the eyes and the physical bigness is a delicious invite.  It is also there is some pull to discover and know him.

2011 : Divas That Blazed!

What is a year without a tribute to the Divas that rocked it.  I don't care how I get judged for this but I am such a huge fan of girl power.  There is something very special, nurturing and inspiring seeing ladies doing great stuff and making a difference in this world and to people.  So I always celebrate great ladies as they have an awesome place in this world.  Salute!

My top 5 divas included :

5.  Beyonce - I was really touched when I saw what Beyonce went through with making her latest Album named "4".  Doing it all on her own.  I respect her wanting to take it on and make what she needed to make happen on her own.  I loved the music on the Album and salute this women who takes talent and turns it into the best life.  And makes it look so effortless.  Inspiration!

4.  Brandy - Brandy's reality show got my attention this year.  I have always felt linked to her.  Seeing that we both more or less the same age, I do feel that her and I go through the same kind of stuff.  So I can really relate to her music and could relate even more seeing what she went through in her reality series.  Her whole being open for love really struck a chord.  So thanks Brandy for showing the way!  Got some gems along the way.

3.  Rihanna - This women simply sizzles at all angles.  Wow!  Loved her music this year.  It really got me in touch with my inner sex goddess.  hehehehehehe  So thank you Miss R for all her sexy tunes. Rock on Sista!

2.  Kelly Rowland - I am not sure what it was, but her music was full of love, hope and surrendering to the greater moment.  I loved every bit of what she was saying through her music.  It really helped me with surrendering over some of my limiting stories and just letting go and having fun.  Thank you for the adding that fun factor to life!

1.  Oprah - Oprah is one of the wisest and most awesome individuals that I know of.  She truly is my heroine and I have such respect and love for how she lives her life and goes about living it to its best.  Huge fan Darlin!!  Meeting her is on my bucket list.  Just a sit down and a chat with her would be such a great life dream come true.  So until then, I celebrate the awesome example she is to me as a person in owning and living her power.  Love her!

2011 : TV That Rocked

One thing I do know for sure is that TV is such a useful distraction from life, time and challenge.  It is one of the best escapes and can be addictive when you are running away from something.  But it does have it's place in our world and there is some magic to it when it is enjoyed for what it can be.  A source to appreciate a story, creativity and indulge the senses.  Below is the top 5 CrazeeBee TV Love List :

5.  True Blood - I can't explain it but I am hooked.  I do find the storylines weird and a bit open ended and not explained very well.  Example : When will Sookie finally get a handle on her powers, understand what she can do and do something about it? (she frustrates me not simply honing her powers!).  Anyhoo, it has the sexiest men on TV in the series and it helps seeing all those Macho men do their thing. It is all so primal ;)

4.  The Secret Circle - This had to grow on me.  I think it is the same writers as The Vampire Diaries.  But this has the same fantasy feel as Vampire Diaries.  I get the feeling of Dawson's Creek meets Supernatural with this series.  The storyline started off extremely slow for me but it is picking up and getting me hooked.  I am keen to see where it goes

3.  Gossip Girl - With NewYork as a backdrop, I am interested.  I love the city of New York.  The appeal is just the lifestyle and fashion.  The drama is ok and there are some real moments I found very cool.  But all in all it is about the lifestyle.  A boy can dream about all that sparkle!

2.  The Vampire Diaries - This is sheer indulgence and escape for me.  There are so many storylines, mystery and drama.  I just cannot get enough of it.  And I always watch wishing for another episode to follow so I can know what is happening.  It is truly an awesome series if one merely just wants to escape.

1.  Glee - I could not get enough of this series.  What a joy.  For me it is the awakening of the characters and how they go about finding themselves and start making a place for themselves in this world.  It is just so marvelous to watch.  And as they discover their magic and what is special about them, I find some form of healing.  And it helps that they combine such great music with it all.  Yay!

Talking Dirrty!

I will admit that when I saw this episode and what Miranda got up to, I was a little stomped as to how to articulate what I needed to.  Hehehehehehe  How does one give a perspective on talking dirrty in bedroom? Miranda is sleeping with this guy and he loves a verbal run down of what is happening during sex.  Miranda had an issue with it because she did not want to feel the need to articulate in the bedroom over and above the need to articulate herself in all other aspects if her life.

My only conclusion could be that maybe she had issues being present in the moment.  All part of the defense mechanism to open up and be in that moment and going with honestly expressing what she was about.  Miranda is known for all those barriers, this could simply just be another one in terms of not being able to be open, honest, vulnerable and intimate.

The CrazeeBee take is that it is about connection and being true in the moment.  To express yourself in that manner, even if verbal is part of it, is all good as long as it comes from a honest beautiful place.  I also feel that when it is between people who are having sex not really knowing each other, that it can be intimidating and not safe to truly be who you are.  But it comes down to being in a safe space to just be yourself, vulnerable and honest.  Sometimes, it is more about you being comfortable with who you are and how you express yourself no matter who you are with.

And this opens a deeper theme!  What are the boundaries and safe zones within a relationship.  Sex does blur the boundaries people!  If you truly going to make the best of the time with "hotrod" you will need to let down your boundaries and experience.  There is an element of that creeping into the other parts of the relationship.  But it comes down to you.  Miranda was happy just shagging and played a role.  If she wanted more, maybe it was her embracing a bigger picture of the guy she was with because situations as above, would be handled in a much more loving way by herself.

If there are "safe zones" in a relationship, it needs to raise the question of how you both evolve together!  Someone is stuck and not willing to deal with a shadow.  Cannot be the base for a great foundation if one truly wants intimacy . . . . . .

CrazeeBee Love : Luca's Restaurant

Awesome Food, Good Friends and Honest Sharing are always a good combination.  I am a huge fan of Luca's restaurant.  There is something special about it's vibe and food.  There is a love that I can appreciate about it.  It also speaks so much of all things Italian.    A culture of being in the moment and enjoying that moment to the highest quality possible.  Love it.

I love the House Salad.  Yes it is a salad and it rocks!  My other favourite dish is the Tagliolini Incazzati.  Yum Yum!

CrazeeBee Love : Recording What You Eat

So I have embarked on this "let's look at what I eat" thing.  I have hired a nutrionist and the advice I am getting has helped me a great deal.  I do see the whole concept of why balance is important.  But what has been really awesome is the website and mobile app called myFitnessPal.  Check it out at www.myfitnesspal.com .  I am loving it and here is why:

  • There is a huge database where I can find what I need in terms of food
  • I can easily pick up my patterns and see the consequences of my choices
  • It is iPhone friendly and that is the best as I have it on the go
  • It just is easy and use and quick to capture
  • You realise that you do stick to a routine and can get some great insight from it
Give it a try and see what happens.  The trick is not to be obsessive about it in terms of killing yourself to make the targets.  It is simply being honest and recording it.  You still have choice and still have consequence whichever you choose is the way to go.  And you can figure out a way to balance what you indulge in versus eating what is good.

Blog Crush : Silverfaeries & Dragonflies: Oprah's Lifeclass 1: The False Power Of Ego

I was truly inspired after reading this blogpost.  It speaks to the power of your Ego and what it can do to you in how you interact with the world.  I love the part that speaks to it's definition : "You take exterior elements and (societal expectations, your own expectations created according to material expectations) and apply those to your self worth"

Powerful phrase!  Read on and be enlightened thank to Silverfaeries & Dragonflies.

CrazeeBee Love : Hermanus, South Africa

I recently went to Hermanus for a getaway.  It was absolutely amazing.  Seriously recommend it during whale season which seems to be October as the locals confirm.  Enjoy how I saw this magical place courtesy of my handy iPhone Cam.

Enjoyed some lovely walks on the beach.  It was like a 5 min walk away from the holiday house.

Sunsets in the Western Cape are the best! This was the view we could enjoy every sunset at the house.

My walk about town gave me this fantastic view.  This was at one of the whale view spots.

The view from the place I was staying at.  Amazing! Yum Yum!

The A$$hole That Destroyed You

So we are into season 2 of Sex and the City.  Carrie and Big have broken up but she and her friends are still up to their adventures.  In this episode, Miranda gets extremely upset with the rest of the girls.  They were too man obsessed for her liking and she was tired of giving men so much power.  We then find out about Erik, the guy that broke her heart into a million pieces and found happiness with the women he left her for and that was still going strong.  There it was, Miranda had that guy that no one could compare to and that was the greatest love she ever had experienced.

We have had those amazing men in our lives.  Some of us have actually ended up marrying them.  But some of us don't marry that prince!  We meet that guy and somehow he gets into the heart of us and under our skin.  Life takes on a whole new meaning and you know! You know that you will never be the same!  It is like some part of comes alive and you are taken to a new level of being, of loving and feeling.  You go deeper into a space where you feel like the world is just so amazing and it is all because of knowing and loving him and being loved by him.

And then he leaves you!

For whatever reason, he leaves you.  And you left not knowing how something so amazing, so special, so out of this world can end?  How could he walk away from that?  But it does happen.  The "man of your dreams" can walk away and find that mind shattering love partnership with someone else or simply put without you.  Yes it does happen.

For me,  the first thing to know and make your way back to believing is that you were never destroyed!  And that you can never be destroyed.  Yes, you shared deeply with someone and you shed your protective layers and allowed yourself to embrace that side of you that knew love and happiness.  You let your guard down and let him in to enjoy that side of you that shows you just how special and lovable you really are.  I do believe that we confuse the messenger with the message.  We are lovable and worth it.  That is the message.  Men come along and they can make us see that when they love us for us.  But they are human and not perfect at always making us feel good.  It is not their core function or desire and they cannot sustain making us perfectly happy!

So yes, he hurt you and yes you feel that you can never share that deeply with another man.  But you can.  All you need to do is take that first step and embrace that you are lovable as you are.  And you also need to realise that you are who you are and that you can share that with more men in the future if you allow it. When you realise that you can hold on and never break your spirit while loving someone else, then sharing deeply with them, does not take away from you.

So no.  A man can never destroy you.  Yes, he can hurt you and he can disappoint you.  But throughout this all, you are in charge of how you feel and what you choose to be happy.  You may not see it when you in the thick of loving him or hating him but you have the choice.  And baby, maybe just start by embracing that you are lovable no matter what and can never be broken!

5 Things About Eating Healthy

I have started seeing a nutritionist. My weight is really getting out of hand and I decided that I was not going to do the whole diet and discipline thing.  I figured rather get yourself educated and then make it about my choice to better food and better nutrition.  In this process of wanting to educate myself, I have been blessed with some interesting insights.  Thought I would share with you :

  1. It's all about balance.  When one looks at the cell itself.  It needs water for the overall cell functioning, carbohydrates to power energy, protein to ensure proper functioning and growth and fats to ensure the correct nutrients get into the cell.  Each part is needed for a fully functional cell.  So a balanced intake of those aspects is required whichever way you look at it.  It's that simple!
  2. Being obsessed with food means that you have no idea how to get love out of what you are obsessed with.  A truly loving relationship benefits both parties.  If obsession with bad food is a reality.  You are allowing yourself to be hurt by something.  Maybe it is time to choose to get some love back for what you give out.  See how that impacts your relationship with food?
  3. You cannot out train bad eating.  You really are wasting time in the gym if you think a good run after loading so many calories will work!
  4. You must eat before you get hungry.  When you  hungry, your body is already in survive mode and has started its process of survival and protecting fat and slowing down the metabolic rate to make it through the perceived starvation
  5. Your body is designed to balance and heal itself.  So when you are in balance, your body functions and heals itself rather quickly.  How we look and feel is basically our body reacting to how we choose what we do and all it does is respond to keep the balance

CrazeeBee Love : True Blood Season 4

So I am happy that True Blood is back on TV.  Always love a good Vampire story.  My guilty indulgence is good fantasy series.  I will admit that I am a rather impatient get to the point of the mystery kind of guy, but there are some great storylines in season 4 that are simply delicious :

Most Engaging Story:
Eric and his amnesia is really adorable.  He is just become the perfect man after the his run in with the powerful witch.  He is open, attentive and just innocent.  Love it!

Most Mysterious Storylines:
The new witch in town is in an interesting storyline.  Nice to see that the vampires do not have all the power like they used to.  So curious how that will play out.  The medium storyline is interesting as well.     The french lady ghost has me intrigued.  What is the big deal with that baby?

Rocking Hunks:
Erik with his amnesia (adorable)
The Wolfman Alcide (Yum)

Strangely there are no rocking diva's so far in this season as there were in previous seasons.

Common Sense Does Not Equal To Your View

Would the world not be sooooo much better if everybody saw it like we did?  I mean our point of view is best!  Life is relatively good living by our standards so why can people just not play along and do what it is needed to make life better for themselves and the rest of the world?

The truth is, is that we want people to abide by the rules of life that make us happy!  No one else but us!

In this episode, Miranda is dating this screenwriter.  The sex is amazing but everytime he is done with sex with her, he runs off to the shower.  Miranda asks him about it and he says it was just a thing he picked up growing up catholic.  So Miranda makes it about herself and that he is wrong because how can he not see the error of what he believes.  So she tries to change him and ends up challenging his belief system.  This sets him off and he ends up dumping her!  Sigh! He was a cutie after all!

I have recently got it that we are all so different after all!  We all have our own unique priorities and value systems.  These govern our choices our actions and where we give the most attention.  The way to get what you want is to inspire someone to align.  Inspiration allows us to look at what we believe and make a choice to what is better for us.  And the trick is in how you communicate to someone.  When you communicate to someone within the framework of their value system or hot buttons, they are more engaged, listen and pay attention.

I have also found that this is one where you have to feel your way through each case that you encounter.  I mean was the fact that the man took a shower after sex with her really such a big deal?  It was so much about how bad Miranda was feeling about herself.  I mean where was the patience from her side to allow him to make his choice.  I mean if she just went with the flow, there was always a possibility that she would grow more special in time to him and then maybe he would not see it as a bad thing?

There is a thought out there that the trick is to get into a state of fair exchange.  Where what you love giving effortlessly is what the other loves receiving and vice versa.  Imagine in that situation that there is no room for compromise or sacrifice as both your needs are being met.  And yes, no one is saying that it happens magically but if one could learn the art of communicating what is important to you and the other person getting that, there is definitely room to getting close to that.

So as a start.  Try to start understanding the top 3 values of those close to you.  Then start working out how you can communicate to them in terms of those top 3 values.  I can guarantee that your world will change as a result of that.

Bless Rugby Players : Sean O'Brien

So the world cup did not go as expected for South Africa.  My heart goes out to the Springboks.  Next time boys.  My second favourite team was Ireland.  Something about the Irish charm that I could not resist!  So from that lot of charming lads, Sean O'Brien got my attention.  Enjoy him.  He is not a drop dead gorgeous adonis.  But there is just something very sweet, inviting and homely ;)

The Drought

Sex!  It is the reality of those that have ventured there, tried it and loved it.  And yes, for the person that knows how great it can be, there is the need to try and get some in on a regular basis.  Some keep it within a relationship and some keep it going by trying different men.  It all does come down to connecting and enjoying intimacy with someone.

In this episode, Miranda was going through a drought of note.  She was on the 3 month no sex mark and was beginning to feel the emptiness of not having regular sex with someone.  She distracted herself and was in this rut of self hatred and frustration because she had not found someone to enjoy that intimacy with.

This is one subject I guess gets attention whichever emotion is attached to it.  It manages to get some sort of focus whatever walk of life you come from.  No matter how strongly some of us feel about it, or how many of us deny its existence, sex has a place in our lives.  Whether we like it or not, it has a place.  Existing or not existing!

So what happens when it simply just disappears on you after enjoying it for some time?

Well, I have come to understand that all we want is around us, just in a form that we do not recognize.  So that high, that experience we get back from sex is manifested in a different form.  There has to be something in one's life where they get the same high as when having great sex.  For some it is the form of creating art, a project, a venture, their families etc or simply the visual stimulation of watching others go at it on film, or browsing through provocative sexy pics of men etc!

Either way it is channelled into something else and not the act itself.  All I can say on this subject is that when it ain't around, one has to ask the question of where you channelling all that energy and loving?  And one can most likely work it back to where your priorities are.  Again, it is the choice of sticking to what your current priorities are, or allowing them to shift.  But there is no denying that when sex is connected, synced, intimate and emotionally and physically safe, there is just no beating it and this CrazeeBee would certainly miss that kind of special experience ;)

So enjoy it when it is around and when it disappears, know that you can make your back it simply by allowing a shift in your priorities.  For some, the road back is longer.  Faith and the art of allowing is all I'm saying xoxo

Marriage Plus Baby Equals Death

The SINGLE-hood!  The kind of words /phrases that go with it include freedom, fun, lightness, NO sacrifice, NO one to consider in decisions and independence.  The concept of a husband and children somehow make the house crowded and there seems to be just so much more to making life happen than just taking care of yourself and being able to do whatever you want to without answering to anyone else!

In this episode, Miranda and friends get invited to a baby shower of a once wild child friend of theirs.  Miranda sees the whole marriage and child thing as a cult that sucks you away from the free and wonderful life.  She basically equated it to death as she could not be herself, independent and would need to accommodate other individuals and have herself going last in the queue or even disappearing all together!

So it seems from Miranda's perspective that it comes down to choice of keeping who you are or losing who you are to a child and marriage.  That you really cannot have it all if you want the family life to come along.  It is a fear for people who work so hard to get their independence, success and living a life on their terms.  When that is so important to an individual, I can imagine how the idea of losing yourself is a scary one.

With anything in life, it is about evolving.  I can speak personally from my friends who have gone into parenthood and marriage and will tell you that it is one of the most exciting adventures they have been on.  None of them have said it was easy but all say that it is worth it.  For me, it is about understanding what is joyful and fulfilling for you.  It is not about compromise and sacrifice.  It really is about where your values are and what they mean for where you are in your life.  For someone who values the complete freedom of not considering more than one person in their decision making, the idea of kids and a committed relationship would not serve that.  For someone who values connection and building something special in the family space, then a marriage and kids would serve them.

I don't believe that  marriage plus a baby equals death.  I do believe that marriage and a baby are a consequence of where one's values and priorities are.  So as and when or as and if it comes that it becomes a priority, it will naturally flow and become real in one's life.  And by the time that swings by, that person will be in that mindset to go with the flow and deal with what comes from that journey.

So all we need to know is that life is what life needs to be right now for where our priorities, values and whatever fulfills us places us.  Some of us are in a fantasy and cannot see that our real desire is being met.  And some of us are fully aware of where we are based on what we value.  Either way, we are what we believe!  Mwah!
